fluIDentity

fluIDentity explores the universal human experience of change as expressed by nine young artists selected from the Lorenzo de' Medici International Institute advanced art courses. Transformation is interpreted from an individual, psychological point of view as well as from a sociocultural standpoint. Consistently with the contemporary blurring of boundaries between different artistic disciplines, we propose an exhibition that focuses on creativity itself. The featured artists work in a variety of media ranging from drawing and etching to installation and garment production. We include fashion as a form of art to the extent that it is experimental in terms of materials and techniques, conveying a concept or meaning. Our display, with its flexible and raw appearance, embodies the theme of transformation so that art and exhibition design become a single entity.

fluIDentity esplora l'universale esperienza umana del cambiamento, espresso da nove giovani artisti selezionati dai corsi avanzati di arte presso l'Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici. La trasformazione è interpretata da un punto di vista sia individuale e psicologico che socioculturale. Coerentemente con il contemporaneo sfumare di confini tra diverse discipline artistiche, proponiamo una mostra focalizzata sulla creatività. Gli artisti esposti lavorano con una varietà di media, da disegno e incisione a installazione e produzione di abiti. Includiamo la moda intesa come forma d'arte quando esperimenta con materiali e tecniche, e comunica un concetto o significato. L'allestimento, con il suo aspetto flessibile, incarna il tema della trasformazione cosicché arte ed esposizione diventano un tutt'uno.
